Yargıç Ramesh Chandra Lahoti, Hindistan’ın 35. Başyargıcı olarak görev yapmıştır. Kendisi önde gelen, etrafına ışık saçan bir hukukçu ve bilim adamıdır. Hindistan’ın son dönemde en uzun Başyargıçlık görevini yürütmüş ve 17 ay gibi uzun bir çalışmadan sonra görevinden emekli olmuştur.

Mısır devlet adamı ve diplomat olan Dr. Boutros Boutros-Ghali Birleşmiş Milletlerin (BM) 6. Genel Sektreteri’ydi. Kendisi saygın bir bilim adamı ve akademisyendir. Görev süresi boyunca, Dr Ghali Soğuk Savaşın sonuna tanık olmuş, ve savaş sebebiyle parçalanmış Ruvanda, Yugoslavya ve Bosna gibi bölgelerde, aktif olarak barışı koruma girişimlerine katılmıştır.

Prof. Rudolphus Franciscus Marie ‘Ruud’ Lubbers on yılı aşkın bir süre Hollanda Başbakanı olarak görev yapmıştır. Kendisi eski bir ekonomist ve girişimcidir. O’nun görev dönemi olan 1980’lerde, Hollanda ekonomisi, iktisadi durgunluk sonrası başarılı bir dönüşüme şahit olmuştur. Hem en uzun hizmet süresine sahip olma ve hem de Hollanda’nın en genç Başbakanı olma özelliğine sahiptir. Tanınmış bir lider olan kendisine, 1995 yılında Devlet Bakanı Onursal Ünvanı verilmiştir. Ayrıca, dört seneden fazla Birleşmiş Milletler Mülteciler Yüksek Komiserliği olarak da görev yapmıştır.

Altmış yıla yayılmış uzun siyasi kariyeri boyunca Bay Advani hükümette Hindistan Başbakan Yardımcılığı ve İçişleri Bakanı gibi önemli pozisyonlarda görev yapmıştır. Lok Sabha içinde de iki kez Muhalefet Lideri olarak atanmıştır. 2015 yılında kendisine, Hindistan'ın ikinci en yüksek sivil ödülü olan Padma Vibhushan verilmiştir.

Dr. Karan Singh, Hindistan Parlementosu’nda Rajya Sabha (Ayan Meclisi) üyesidir. Hindistan Ulusal Kongresi Partisi’nin üs düzey üyesi olan Dr Singh, Jammu ve Kaşmir’de Sadr-i-Riyasat (Vali) olarak görev yapmıştır. Fransa, Cannes da doğan Dr Singh, vaktiyle bir prenslik olan Jammu-Kaşmir’in son kralı olan Mihrace Hari Singh’in oğludur. Kendisi 2005’te Hindistan’ın ikinci en yüksek sivil ödülü olan Padma Vibhushan ödülünü almıştır.

A physician and politician, His Excellency Dr. Abdel Salam al-Majali served twice as the Prime Minister of Jordan.
During his tenure as Prime Minister, Dr. Majali signed the 1994 Israel-Jordan peace treaty. After his second term as Prime Minister, he was appointed to the Jordanian senate. He is currently the Chairman of the Islamic World Academy of Sciences.

Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu

A Turkish academic, politician, and diplomat, Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu was Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) from 2004 to 2014. Founder of the Department of History of Science at the Faculty of Letters at Istanbul University, Prof. Ihsanoglu is an author and editor of academic journals and an advocate of intercultural dialogue. He was also one of the signatories of ‘A Common Word’, an open letter by Islamic scholars to Christian leaders, calling for peace and understanding.

Ms. Tatyana Poronova
